About Shireen Smith

Shireen Smith is an Intellectual Property and Internet lawyer having qualified as a solicitor more than 25 years ago. She specialise in trade marks and brands, particularly online branding and ecommerce. Her team at Azrights, a law firm Shireen founded more than 6 years ago, focuses on IT and online matters, helping businesses to manage their intangible assets. After graduating in law from East Anglia University, Shireen worked both in industry and in private practice handling commercial subjects like tax, employment law, media and technology law, before focusing on technology contracts and intellectual property during her 5 years in-house at Reuters. Shireen holds a Masters degree in Intellectual Property Law at London University's Queen Mary and Westfield Commercial Law Unit, and she is a member of the Society for Computers and Law, the International Division of the Law Society, and sits on the Internet Committee of the International Trademark Association.
